Executive search is a specialized management consultancy contract whereby National Talent is retained by you to work on an exclusive basis in an advisory capacity. National Talent typically partners with a client to identify, assess and select Senior Executive and Board level appointments with this service.

  • What makes this service different to Contingent Search and Selection?

National Talent will operate on an exclusive, client-centered basis and work on only a limited number of assignments at any one time. We charge a consulting fee (retainer) for the assignment, consistent with our in-depth advisory work and a consultant will be dedicated to your vacancy for a set time rather than working with multiple clients.

  • The service

Our service starts by understanding your industry, business strategy, and requirements for the senior appointment. We undertake thorough needs analysis through rigorous questioning and fact finding with all the relevant stakeholders in your organization and in many cases will have a number of meetings to fully identify the brief for the assignment.

National Talent will then employ highly sophisticated headhunting methodologies to source a pool of candidates that in the vast majority of cases are not looking for a move.

Selection will be made through a robust three to four stage interviewing programme augmented by a due diligence processes of psychometric testing, detailed referencing from within the industry sector, and qualification & background checks.

Once our consulting team has decided on the best candidates that match the brief, we will book a maximum of five shortlisted candidates per vacancy into your diary for final stage interviews and assessments. Prior to the interview date your dedicated consultant will arrange a face to face meeting to discuss each of the applicants in detail with you so that you are fully prepared for all your meetings.

Once you have decided on the best person for the job, National Talent will then act as intermediary to handle the offer process. This stage is critical to the success of the assignment and utilizing National Talent to manage this for both parties is fundamental. We act as the critical friend to both parties and our mediation skills will find the common ground on all aspects of the potential contract between employer and new employee.
